The ORP is a defined contribution plan. The value of your account is based on the amount of contributions made to your account and the performance of the investment funds you select. Contributions to your account are made by you and the University.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- In addition to clicking the "Enroll Now" button above, the ORP-1 Election and Forfeiture Agreement Form is required to complete enrollment in the plan. You can find the ORP-1 Form by clicking here.
- If you did not initially elect the UNC ORP Plan and are currently participating in the TSERS plan, you may not transfer/rollover funds to the UNC ORP Plan.
Investment Options
A 403(b) plan allows you to save on a tax-deferred basis through salary deduction. You are eligible to participate if you have FICA tax withheld from your pay.
