End-of-Year Benefits Checklist
Depending on which benefits you selected for 2025, you may have a few things to take care of before the new year starts. Review this list closely; some of these items may not apply to you.
Are you enrolled in the AdventHealth CastCareSM or Orlando Health Cast Advantage plans for 2025?
Watch your mail in December for your new medical ID card from Cigna and prescription drug ID card from Express Scripts. While there are no changes to what the plan covers or the provider network, your claims will be processed by Cigna rather than Allegiance in 2025. Be sure to share your new ID card with providers when you receive care in 2025.
Are you enrolled in the Cigna HMO for 2025?
Watch your mail in December for your new medical ID card from Cigna. The group number for the Cigna HMO is changing in 2025, and so is your ID number. While this is an administrative change, it’s essential that you use your new ID card for claims. Your claims will be rejected if you use your old ID card. Make sure to share your new ID card with providers when you receive care in 2025.
Did you enroll in the Consumer Choice medical plan for the first time?
You’ll need to set up an account with Optum so you can start using your health savings account (HSA) and receiving Disney contributions (if eligible). Expect a debit card in the mail that you can use to pay for eligible expenses directly from your HSA. If you receive an email about providing additional identification to open your account, please respond promptly. This ensures that your account will be opened and that you’ll receive Disney’s contribution to your HSA in a timely manner.
Did you enroll in a Kaiser plan for the first time?
It’s time to find a doctor. Except in emergencies, Kaiser requires you to only use doctors, pharmacies, and facilities in their network. That means you’ll need to find a Kaiser primary care physician. Search for one here, and select your region in the top left corner of your screen.
Still have money left in a 2024 health care or dependent care flexible spending account?
Spend it down before December 31, 2024. FSA funds do not carry over year to year. You’ll forfeit any amount remaining in your FSA accounts on January 1, 2025.
If you need to spend some funds in your health care FSA, think about your health needs. Maybe your glasses need replacing? Or you need more contacts? Check the FSA Store for eligible items.
Have you earned your 2024 Wellness Rewards?
If you’re enrolled in a Disney medical plan, you have until December 31, 2024, to earn $300 in Wellness Rewards for your health savings account (HSA) or health reimbursement account (HRA). Enrolled spouses and domestic partners can also earn Wellness Rewards, bringing your potential total to $600.
Have you reviewed your 401(k) contributions lately?
Eligible employees can make changes to 401(k) contributions at any time. If you’ll be age 50 or older in 2025, you can begin catch-up contributions.
Have you checked your beneficiary choices?
Selecting your beneficiaries, and keeping them up to date, is essential. It tells our benefits partners where to send your money in case something happens to you. Select or update your beneficiaries in NetBenefits for your 401(k) and life insurance (if eligible). If you’re enrolled in a health savings account, make your beneficiary elections with Optum.
