New hire checklist

As a new employee, you have access to a wide range of Disney benefits and programs. Use this checklist to help you make the most of your benefits.

Get started

  • Register for and attend a benefits orientation webcast available the first and third Friday of each month at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. (for all locations except Hawaii)
    Join a live one-hour webcast with Q&A about your Disney benefits and enrolling. Preregistration is not required, simply click the link above to join. Or, view an  of the webcast at your convenience.

  • Get to know your
    Learn how to cover eligible expenses with tax-free savings
  • Learn about

Take action

  •  by the deadline 
    Your enrollment deadline is generally 31 days after your date of hire, unless a waiting period applies. The deadline is shown on your Personal Fact Sheet and/or on the enrollment site on NetBenefits®. You can print a confirmation of your enrollment through NetBenefits or view your ID card on your health care provider’s mobile app if you need care before your ID cards arrive in the mail.
    If you do not enroll by your deadline, you will be enrolled in default coverage. Your next opportunity to elect coverage will be during Annual Benefits Enrollment in the fall for coverage effective the following January.

  • While in NetBenefits, use the ALEX® tool for help deciding which options may be best for you and your budget
  • Ensure you have a primary doctor and specialists who are in-network
    A primary doctor is required for HMO medical options and encouraged for other medical options
  • Earn 
    When you enroll in a Disney medical option, you can earn up to $300 each for you and your enrolled spouse/domestic partner—up to $600 total.
