Benefits coverage

All of Disney’s medical options offer coverage to eligible employees’ and Cast Members’ spouses and domestic partners of all genders. Under these medical options, you and your enrolled spouse or partner have the opportunity to earn  to help you be physically and financially well. Learn more about  under your Disney benefits. 

Disney medical options also provide transgender healthcare benefits, including gender reassignment procedures and related hormone replacement therapy and behavioral health services. The specific gender affirmation benefits vary by medical option—with Cigna and Allegiance-administered options offering the most coverage for additional services. Well-being resources

Even if you’re not enrolled in Disney benefits, you and any dependents and household members have access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for 24/7 help. Find out how the can support your and your loved ones’ emotional well-being. Additional family and work-life resources, such as LifeCare, are available when and where you need it most. 

 

Caring for your family

 

Families are an important part of our lives—and how we grow and care for them is unique. That’s why you have access to resources that support you and your loved ones in a variety of ways.

New additions

Disney offers eligible employees all-inclusive family-building benefits, up to a single lifetime maximum of $75,000. Benefits include fertility and egg- and sperm-freezing services, and adoption and surrogacy assistance.

*New program enhancement effective July 1! We are pleased to announce we are making the following changes to our family-building benefit effective July 1, 2021, to make it more inclusive for our LGBTQ+ community:

  • A diagnosis of infertility will no longer be required in order to access fertility benefits
  • Covered benefits will now include the cost of obtaining donor sperm and/or egg

Parents who welcome new additions through the birth of a newborn, adoption or placement of a foster child can take up to eight weeks of paid Child Bonding Leave.
